End-User License Agreement

1. Grant

Subject to your compliance with these terms and an active paid subscription, SmileMaxer LLC grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use SmileMaxer Desktop and enroll PerioMaxer phones up to the registered-device limit of your plan, solely for periodontal record-keeping at the one physical practice location covered by your subscription.

2. Restrictions

You may not:

  • Register or use devices, locations, or simultaneous charting sessions beyond what your subscription authorizes.
  • Reverse-engineer, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of SmileMaxer Desktop, except to the limited extent applicable law expressly permits.
  • Modify or create derivative works of SmileMaxer Desktop.
  • Remove or alter any proprietary notices, trademarks, or license keys embedded in SmileMaxer Desktop.
  • Bypass or interfere with the licensing, update verification, or other technical protections in SmileMaxer Desktop.

3. Updates

SmileMaxer Desktop checks for updates from our cloud and installs cryptographically-signed updates we publish. You may defer non-mandatory updates, but you understand that some updates may be marked mandatory for security or compatibility reasons.

4. Ownership

SmileMaxer Desktop is licensed, not sold. All rights, title, and interest in SmileMaxer Desktop and its source code remain with SmileMaxer LLC.

5. Termination

This license terminates automatically on cancellation, non-renewal, or material breach of these terms or our Terms of Service. On termination you must cease using SmileMaxer Desktop and uninstall it from all computers.

6. NOT A MEDICAL DEVICE

SMILEMAXER DESKTOP IS A RECORD-KEEPING TOOL. IT DOES NOT DIAGNOSE, INTERPRET, OR RECOMMEND TREATMENT. THE CLINICIAN IS SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ACCURACY AND CLINICAL VALIDITY OF EVERY ENTRY MADE WITH IT, REGARDLESS OF INPUT METHOD.
